Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Pike County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or using a search feature signals acceptance of every term below. Do not continue to use the site if you disagree.

NO FCRA USE. Pike County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to Pike County, Kentucky, or any other government body. It and its advertising partners do not offer services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This is a record-resource site, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of every government agency. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts an official check, or files documents for a visitor.

Its content identifies Pike County custodians, Kentucky courts, the Kentucky State Police criminal-history repository, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect readers to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on the following rules. You may not:

  • Use content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Violate federal, Kentucky, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass another person
  • Deploy scraping, bot, or other automated access tools
  • Enter systems or data without authorization
  • Disrupt service or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked service must not be used to intimidate, stalk, harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Misuse may violate the law. Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry information is published for public-safety awareness. It does not authorize confrontation, vigilantism, employment blacklisting, housing discrimination, or any unlawful action against a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or other consumer reports. Our partners' tools are not presented for evaluating applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. You must not use site or linked data to:

  • Make employment decisions
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A lawful FCRA-regulated check must come through an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or the official Kentucky channel required for that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Kentucky attorney can advise how a Pike County charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement rule affects a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

All content is provided "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • Information is complete, accurate, or current
  • Pages contain no bugs, mistakes, or security weaknesses
  • Service will always be available without interruption
  • A partner's search result is accurate or comprehensive

Charges, dispositions, custody entries, and expungement status can change after publication. Gaps and delays are unavoidable. No page is an official statement of a Pike County or Kentucky agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government offices, court portals, legal-aid organizations, state agencies, and commercial services that we do not control. Their content, prices, availability, and data practices are their responsibility. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Pike County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from site use, including reliance on content supplied here or by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or legal actions caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms, including applicable provisions of the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act, KRS 367.110 through 367.300. A dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Kentucky. The Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, applies to public agencies and does not turn this private site into a public-records custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be adjusted only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
